Christine “Chris" Rubert

Christine “Chris” L. Rubert, 68, of Roscoe passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2020, in River Bluff Nursing Home. Born December 15, 1951, in Rockford, the daughter of Fred and Ann (Castanis) Alexander. Employed by Energy Dynamics for more than 25 years. Member of TOPPS Group. Volunteered at Mayor Larry Morrissey’s office for many years. In her younger years, she loved working at the famous Hotel Del Coronado in San Diego, California. Chris enjoyed traveling, music, dancing and her pets. Survivors include her son, Brent Rubert; brother, Ken (Debby) Alexander; sister, JoAnn (Dennis) Munn; niece, Anastasia Alexander; nephew, Anthony (Cait) Alexander; former husband, Grant; special friends, Caroline Seabaugh and Donna Anderson; and loving kitty, Houston. Predeceased by her parents. The family wishes to thank the numerous caregivers that provided their loving care during her illness.

Memorial service at 5:30 p.m. Monday, February 17, 2020, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
