Charlotte Maurer

Charlotte M. Maurer, 97, of Rockford was called home Friday, April 14, 2017. Born August 19, 1919, in Dakota, the daughter of Paul and Gladys (Andres) Nath.  Married Wayne J. Maurer on September 10, 1939, in Dubuque, Iowa.  She enjoyed golfing, fishing, traveling, gardening and playing cards.  Survivors include her children, Jerid, Judith (Robert) Reichensperger and Bradley (Marlise) Maurer; grandchildren, Greg (Laurie) Maurer, Garret (Terri) Maurer, Kevin (Kristen) Maurer, Scott (Tina) Reichensperger, Christine (Jon) Johnson, Jennifer (Eric) Crawford, Michael Reichensperger, James (Kelly) Maurer and Jason Maurer; 17 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Darrell (Delores) Nath and Donald (Wilma) Nath; sister, Darlene (Jack) Richardson; numerous nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by her husband; daughter-in-law, Erlene Maurer; sister, Norma Carlsten; and brother, Kenneth Nath.  The family wishes to thank Bickford of Rockford and Northern Illinois Hospice.

Memorial service at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 19, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with visitation from 10 a.m. to service time. Inurnment in Sunset Memorial Gardens.  In lieu of flowers, memorials to Northern Illinois Hospice.
