Charles D. Pulliam
Charles D. Pulliam, 95, of South Beloit passed away Friday, September 9, 2022, in his home. Born December 24, 1926, in Archie, MO, the son of Robert Lee and Edith (Shawgo) Pulliam. Married Tellma M. Chandler on May 28, 1946. Employed by Solem Machine, Greenlee Manufacturing, and National Lock. Later owned and operated Chuck’s Mobil and North Park Sinclair. Member of Hunter Baptist Church. Charles loved woodcrafting, playing cards, and fishing, especially with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Tellma; children, Linda (Alan) Nelson, Samuel C. Pulliam, Susan K. Meyers, Debbie (Woody) Bentley, Sandra (Chet) Zieba; thirteen grandchildren; and numerous great-, great-great-, and great-great-great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents; son, Larry Lee Pulliam; and nine brothers and sisters. Special thanks to granddaughter, Tellma “Tellie” Ryan and Mercy Home Health Hospice for their compassionate care.
Private family services will be held with burial in Livingston Cemetery, Caledonia. Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, Loves Park.
