Charles "Charlie" Mcdaniel

Charles “Charlie” L. McDaniel, 81, of Machesney Park entered into eternal rest Tuesday, October 18, 2016. Born November 18, 1934, in Rockford, the son of George and Verna (Wagner) McDaniel. Married Nancy I. (Traver) Onley on January 22, 1966, in North Park. Employed by Atwood Industries for more than 40 years. He enjoyed feeding the yard animals while smoking his pipe. Charles loved joining his breakfasts club at Sunrise Restaurant. Survivors include his children, Karla Peavey, David (Deborah) Onley, Charles (Lori Hallman) McDaniel and Kevin (Brenda) Peters; 9 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brother, Wayne McDaniel; sister-in-law, Jean Marine; brother-in-law, Alex Toth; numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents; wife; son, Kenneth McDaniel; sisters, Anna, Marian, Mildred and Wanda; brothers, George and Carl. The family wishes to thank Connie, Vera and Joanne with TKOOS for their loving care.

Service at 11 a.m. Friday, October 21, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with visitation from 10 a.m. to service time. Burial in Willwood Burial Park.
