Charlene “Char” M. Blum, 84, of Loves Park, IL, entered into eternal rest with the Lord on Monday, August 11, 2025. Born April 3, 1941, in Sauk City, WI, the daughter of Harold and Alma (Alt) Frosch. She married Edward “Ed” C. Blum on July 17, 1958, in Sauk City. Employed by Walter Lawson Children’s Home for 15 years. Member of St. Bridget Catholic Church and Ladies Sodality. Char liked to garden, go bowling and dart leagues. Avid Chicago Cub and Bear fan. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and volunteering at countless functions. Survivors include her children Corey Blum, Jeff (Tanya) Blum, Wendy (Mike Moffitt) Wood, and Randy (Andrea Lomas) Blum; grandchildren, Nichole (Marcus) Blum, Dan (Mercedes) Blum, Rachel (Josh) Blum, Alex (Chelsea) Blum, Dylan Moffitt, Trina Moffitt, and Craven Blum; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Adika, Ariah, and Riley; brothers, Tom (Alice) Frosch, Harold “Butch” Frosch, Richard (Jeanie) Frosch, and Terry (Saroya) Frosch; sisters, Judy (Wally) Peetz, Bonnie Reible, Barb (Don) Wright, and Sandy (Ron) Wartzok; sister-in-law, Carol Mack; brother-in-law, Steve (Ellen) Blum; numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents; husband; sister, Sharon Booth; brothers-in-law, Laverne Reible, Eric Blum, and Don Mack; nephew, Brian Mack; and beloved pets, Trixie, Sammy, and Tinkerbell.

Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at St. Bridget Catholic Church, 600 Clifford Ave., Loves Park, with visitation from 10 to 10:45 a.m. prior to service. Cremation rites accorded. Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in her name.
