Catherine Mary Rudolph, 83, of Rockford passed away peacefully Sunday, November 11, 2018, surrounded by her family. Born May 18, 1935, in Rockford, the daughter of Anthony and Mary (Cicero) Maurici. Married the love of her life Gerald R. Rudolph, Sr., on November 26, 1955, in Loves Park. Member of Red Hat and Rockford Garden Club. Catherine was known for her gift of sharing the gospel with complete strangers. She was radiant inside and out with the love of Jesus by a simple smile or a word of wisdom. She would pray for others and witness to them at the store, gas station, sporting events or even the trampoline park. She took every opportunity to talk about Jesus. Her faith was unshakeable, and she lived over 25 years trusting Jesus to heal her. Due to her strong will to live and her unwavering faith in God she outlived every timeline given to her by her doctors. She was a beautiful example of living her life in trust not fear. She enjoyed spending time with family, friends, praying, reading her bible, listening to praise music, cooking, cleaning, and shopping for antiques. She will be remembered by her husband, family and friends as a Christian woman who boldly served the Lord and wanted to pass her Christian legacy to all. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a beautiful example of a Proverbs 31 woman. Catherine went to be with her Savior after a beautiful bedside service surrounded by her loving family.
