Carrol Sue Fiser, 88, of Machesney Park, IL, passed away on Friday, February 20, 2026, in her home, surrounded by her loving family. Born on Sunday, October 31, 1937, in Springfield, MO, the daughter of Wilbur E. and Jennie L. (Perryman) Smalley. She married Ellsworth Earl Fiser on December 24, 1957, in Rockford, IL. Employed by Barber-Colman Company for 20 years, retiring in 1989. After retiring, she had an in-home daycare. Member of North Park Covenant Church. Carrol enjoyed crocheting and sewing. In her younger years, she enjoyed playing bingo. Carrol was an avid reader, reading mostly books by her favorite author, Daniel Steel. Survivors include her children, Karen (Jim Bachman) Flock, Ellwood Fiser, Ella Fiser, and Tony (Tina) Fiser; grandchildren, Stephanie (Michael) Piller, Steven (Susi) Mounts, Page (Nancy) Flock, Brian Meligan, Darrell Streeter, Jonathan Streeter, Nancy Rowlett, Ashley (Cody) Gray, Kaley (David) Schaller, Amber (Derek) Bartelt, Shauna Fiser, Cheryl Smalley, and Rickey Jr. Smalley; several great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents; husband; and sons, John Fiser and Rickey Smalley.
Service at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park, IL, with Pastor Page Flock officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to service time Wednesday. Burial in Stillman Valley Cemetery, Stillman Valley, IL. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
