Carmen Randerson, 83, of Machesney Park, IL, was called home on Monday, March 18, 2024, surrounded by her family. Born July 16, 1940, in Crystal City, TX, the daughter of Leopoldo and Manuela (Rodriguez) Villarreal. She married Richard Randerson on October 5, 1962, in Rockford, IL. Carmen loved cooking for her grandchildren, the outdoors, trips to the casino, Mexican bingo, and dancing. Survivors include her husband, Richard; daughters, Sue (Marty) Grafstrom, Beverly Hernandez, and Jennett Chang; grandchildren, Stacey Dunbar, Daniel (Kelsey) Hernandez, Joshua Hernandez, Brianna (Tess) Kinder, Ashlee Kinder, Caitlyn Kinder, T.J. Kinder, Jon (Zandra) Rothenbuehler, Jacob Rothenbuehler, and Jared Rothenbuehler; several great-grandchildren; many brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews; best friend, Whiskey. Predeceased by her parents; daughter, Cynthia Rothenbuehler; and grandson, Alan Dickson. Special thanks to OSF Hospice, especially nurse Lashonda and Rev. Alvin White for their care and compassion.
Service at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, March 23, 2024, at Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with visitation from 10 a.m. to service time. Burial in Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
