Carl Douglas Jackson, 84, of Machesney Park passed away, Tuesday, January 18, 2022, in his home. Born February 5, 1937, in Beloit, Wisconsin, the son of Brice and Alice (Stibbe) Jackson. Veteran of the U.S. Army. Married Dolores Michalak on October 4, 1985. Employed by Jaydon Inc. for more than 30 years. Member of the Aurora Moose Club. Carl enjoyed going to auctions, bowling, and watching softball games. He especially loved sharing a meal and spending time with family. Survivors include his wife, Dolores; children, Linda (Thomas) Hernandez, Cindy Blade, Vicky (Dan) Heidenreich, Mark (Christina) Luberts, Jeff (Kim) Luberts, and Kelly (Alan) Nylund; daughter-in-law, Lisa Luberts; 25 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; brother, Ray (Connie) Jackson; sister-in-law, Diane Jackson; numerous nieces and nephews; canine companion, Maggie; and special friend, Wes Helser. Predeceased by his parents; daughter, Joann Jayko; son, Kenneth Luberts; sister, Louise (Donald) Fruit; brothers, Ralph Jackson, and Wilmer Jackson; and special friend, Faye Helser.
Memorial visitation from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, January 22, 2022, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 4011 River Lane, Loves Park. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
