Bradley "Brad" Bainter

September 25, 1955 — February 26, 2020

Bradley “Brad” L. Bainter, 64, of Rockford passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2020. Born September 25, 1955, in Rockford, son of Kermit and Wanda (Pierce) Bainter. He attended Harlem High School, graduating in 1974. Brad was a kind and compassionate man who was always checking in on those he loved just to make sure they were all good, whether it be a phone call, a text, or simply a Facebook message. He adored his family and made sure that he attended as many sporting events as he could for his great-nieces and -nephews. Uncle Brad was their #1 Fan! Brad had many passions and interests. He was an avid bicyclist, spending many days biking at Rock Cut State Park. He even joined his cousin, Brian, biking across the State of Iowa. He was a proud Green Bay Packers and Chicago Cubs Fan, attending many games, or watching them on TV with his family and friends. Years ago, he even shared the love of the Chicago White Sox, going to many games with his brother-in-law, Kevin. Brad’s real passion, however, was his love for animals. Upon retirement, he started his own dog-walking business. He cared for and loved each of these dogs as if they were his own. Brad will be missed by many and was loved by all. Survivors include his brothers, Mike (Babe), Greg (Sandy), Steve (Connie) and David (Dee); sisters, Deb (Tish Slatton) DeVlieger, Sue (Kevin) Myers; sister-in-law, Wanda Bainter; nieces and nephews, Brent (Lydia), Monica (fiancé, Kerry Flynn) Phillips, Jason (Jessica), Melissa, Andrea (Todd) Abramson, Julie (Paul) Windisch, Chris (Christine) Reynolds, Jennifer DeVlieger, Heather DeVlieger, Maddy (fiancé, Simon Strand) Myers and Chris Myers; many great-nieces and -nephews; and his beloved dog, Stormy. Predeceased by his parents; and his brother, Jeff.
