Birdeena M. Edmond, 85, of Machesney Park, passed away Saturday, March 18, 2017. Born September 11, 1931, in Cheyenne County, KS, the daughter of Orbie D. and Edna Alice (Demry) Horn. Veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving in the U.S. Army. United in marriage to William “Bill” Edmond in West Plains, MO. Employed as a secretary for Blackhawk Baptist Association for 29 years. Member of First Baptist Church of Machesney Park. Survivors include daughter, Lyvonna (Larry) Seaman; son, Dale (Brenda) Edmond; grandchildren, Brandy (Nick) Jensen, Mike (Nikki) Edmond, Jimmy (Narrissa) Edmond and Jillian Davenport; great-grandchildren, Casey Dinger, Austin Jensen, Rylen Edmond, Rayna Marie Jensen, Kiley Jean Edmond, Elaina Edmond and Brooklyn Edmond; great-great-grandson, Dinger; and son-in-law, Don Davenport. Predeceased by her husband and daughter, Sharon Davenport. The family wishes to extend a thank you to all the nurses and technicians at Churchview and Machesney Park Dialysis.
Service at 11 a.m. Monday, March 27, 2017, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with visitation from 10 a.m. to service time. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
