Billie Jean Thayer, 87, of Rockton, was reunited with her husband on Monday, July 11, 2016. Born September 3, 1928, in Sycamore, the daughter of Dewey and Ruth (Teach) Harris. Married Don B. Thayer on September 24, 1948, in Rockton. She loved spending time with loves ones and enjoyed life in Arizona for 15 years, before moving back to Roscoe to be with family. Survivors include her children, Deborah (Jamie) Skowronski, Sheryl (Dick) Schrader, Chrys (Nick) Castrogiovanni and Steve (Mary Casey) Thayer; 8 grandchildren, Chad (Rose) Skowronski, Amron (Matt) Gravett, Toni (Mark) Lindblade, Brad (Jessica) Schrader, Nikko, Talia, Reno Castrogiovanni and Jason Thayer; and 9 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her husband. The family wishes to thank Transitions Hospice for their loving care.

As per her request, private inurnment will be in Roscoe Township Cemetery. Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., Loves Park.
