LOVES PARK - Beverly A. Burdick, 84, of Loves Park passed away Sunday, Jan. 18, 2015, in her home. Born Sept. 15, 1930, in Janesville, Wis., daughter of John M. and Ethel E. (Kath) Jacobs. Janesville area resident, moving to Loves Park in 1966. While a resident in Janesville, Beverly was employed by the Chamber of Commerce, Boy Scouts of America and Lewis, Jensen and Arthur Insurance Agency, working all three jobs in the Jackman Building on the corner of Main and Milwaukee Streets. Married Glenn Russell Burdick on May 11, 1952, in Janesville. Employed as a secretary in the Library at the Harlem High School for 21 years, retiring in 1990. While a Janesville resident, Beverly was a Sunday School teacher and member of the Blackhawk Archery Club and Swinging Square. Member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Janesville, until moving to Loves Park and became a member of Concordia Lutheran Church, Dickin’s of 56 Club and 56 on the Square in Woodstock. She loved knitting and crocheting. Survivors include husband, Glenn; daughter, Deborah Stolberg; granddaughters, Sarah, Megan and Elizabeth Stolberg. Predeceased by her parents; brother, John (Jackie) Jacobs and stepfather, James Delaney.
Service at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 23, in Concordia Lutheran Church, 7424 North 2nd Street, Machesney Park. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 22, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane.
