Betty Patten

Betty G. Patten, 64, of Loves Park passed away November 22, 2021.  Born August 4, 1957, in Corning, AK, the daughter of Herbert Patten and Mary (Higgins) Patten.  Betty loved spending time with her family, especially going to her daughter’s softball games.  She enjoyed playing bingo every Monday, shopping, going out to eat, playing card games with friends and getting ice cream in the summer with her dogs.  Betty had a bright personality, earning a bachelor’s degree in social work and spent numerous years with Rockford Register Star.  Survivors include her daughter, Mary Joan Patten; sister, Shirley “Jody” Wendtland; brother, Jakie (Connie) Patten; and her loving canine companion, Gracie.  Predeceased by both parents; brother, Frankie Patten; stepfather, Dick Higgins.

Funeral service at 11 a.m. Monday, November 29, 2021, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with visitation from 10 a.m. to service time.
