Betty Louise Shepard Keefe, 94, of Rockford passed away peacefully Thursday, June 8, 2017. Born March 9, 1923, in Hartford, VT, the daughter of Burton M. and Charlotte (Arbuckle) Shepard. Married Matthew “Matt” S. Keefe on June 20, 1943, in Hartford, VT. Member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church. Volunteered at Rockford Memorial Hospital for 25 years. Betty enjoyed reading, painting, knitting, needlepoint, cooking and dancing. Survivors include her husband, Matt; son, Matt (Martha Morris) Keefe of Dexter, MI; daughter, Barbara (Mike) Steiner of Minnetonka, MN; grandchildren, Jebediah (Heather Simon) Keefe and Sean (Amanda Allen) Steiner; several nieces and nephews.

Private memorial service to be held at a later date. Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park.
