Betty J. Henry, 87, of Loves Park passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2016. Born February 10, 1929, in Belvidere. Married Raymond J. Henry on August 1, 1950, in Rapid City. Member of St. Bridget Catholic Church and the St. Theresa's Guild. Member of YWCA where she loved to attend swim classes as well as help teach classes. Avid bingo player, enjoyed crossword puzzles and reading. Betty loved spending time with family. She was an excellent caregiver and cook. Survivors include sons, Mike Henry of Rockford and Jerry (Mary) Henry of Houston, Texas; daughter, Linda (Joel) Lindquist of Loves Park; grandchildren, Rick (Rachel Saebens) Lindquist, Trevor (Jodi) Henry, Devin Henry and Chris Henry; great-grandchildren, Lucy Lindquist, Josephine Saebens, Nora Henry and Nolan Henry; brothers, John (Sandra) Brach and Walter (Dora) Brach; sister, Sue Lantz; sister-in-law, Millie Eich; many wonderful nieces and nephews; numerous friends at Park Towers. Predeceased by her husband; brothers, Bill Conkling, III, and Bob Conkling; sister-in-law, Helen Conkling. The family wishes to thank Dr. Martinez, Dr. Schultz, Dr. Pedapati and staff for their wonderful care of our mom. Special thanks to Serenity Hospice for their love and support.
Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 24, in St. Bridget Catholic Church, 600 Clifford Ave., Loves Park, with visitation from 10 a.m. to service time. Inurnment in Harlem Cemetery.
