Betty N. Greenlee, 96, of Loves Park, IL, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, July 21, 2024, in her home. Born May 3, 1928, in Monroe, WI, the daughter of Ray A. and Lottie Mae (Trickel) Niffenegger. Graduated from Harlem High School, Class of 1946. She married Gerald Carter on May 24, 1952, and then Roger Greenlee on December 5, 1987, in Loves Park. Employed by Hydroline for more than 30 years. Member of Grace Lutheran Church and Harlemite Women’s Club. Betty loved spending time with family, sitting on her deck, gardening, traveling, flowers, and watching the birds. She enjoyed her time with her sister, Beverly. Survivors include her children, Allen (Bonnie) Carter, Linda (Daniel) Fleming, and Cindy (Jim) Nelson; grandchildren, Rachel (Douglas) Brumm, Nicholas Carter, Samantha Carter, Kyler Fleming, Jacob Fleming, Abbie Nelson, and Mandy Nelson; great-grandchildren, Addie, Liam, Nixie, Allison, Annabelle, and Lincoln; sister, Beverly Crain; many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents; husbands, Gerald and Roger; son, Andrew Carter; daughter-in-law, Rita Carter; and 8 siblings. Special thanks to British Thomas for her loving care. Service at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 25, 2024, at Grace Lutheran Church, 343 Grand Avenue, Loves Park, with visitation from 10 a.m. to service time. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Machesney Park, IL. Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park.
