Betty Dahle

Betty J. Dahle, 82, of Machesney Park passed away Saturday, May 20, 2017, in her home.  Born January 13, 1935, at  home, in Cadott, WI, the daughter of James and Loretta (Lacina) Miland.  Graduated Stanly High School with honors in 1953.  Married John “Jack” H. Dahle on May 5, 1956, at Big Drywood Lutheran Church in Boyd, WI.  Moved to Rockford in 1956. Over the years, while raising her family, she worked for Ingersoll Milling Machine, OSF St. Anthony Medical Center, Amerock Corp. and retired from SPX Manufacturing. Betty enjoyed reading, but mostly she loved to visit with family and friends. Survivors include daughters, Jodi (Dolph) Gunther and Jan (John) Carabelli; son, John Dahle; grandchildren, David Ratte, Mike and Adam Dahle, Jacob and Julia Carabelli; great-grandson, Henri Ratte; sisters, Carol Duss and Bonnie (Leroy) Burzenski; brothers, William (Bonnie) Miland and James Miland Jr.; numerous nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by her husband; siblings, Duane, Ronald and Michel Miland and Marion Peterson.  Special thanks to Pam Cavitt, Cathy Lightheart, Judy Hobby, Kelly Carlsson and OSF Palliative and Hospice Care.

Services 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 23, 2017, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with visitation from 4 p.m. to service time.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
