Betty Mae Corbett, 92, of Loves Park passed away Saturday, April 29, 2017. Born August 8, 1924, in Mason City, IA, the daughter of David and Lottie (Tanner) Henderson. Married George Corbett on May 15, 1943. Retired from Warner Lambert in 1986. Survivors include children, David (Pam) Corbett, Darlene Lewis, Deanna (James) Duggan and Dennis Corbett; 11 grandchildren, Christina (Michael) Reed, Elizabeth (William) Costa, Jennifer Alvarez, Kelly Cassioppi, Benjamin Brady, Jodee Lewis, Betsy Duggan-Fulton, Amy (David) Phillips, Jamie (Jeremy) Ball, Jill Corbett and Joseph (Calista) Corbett; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; many precious nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband; son, Danny Corbett; grandson, David Corbett, Jr.; and all of her 8 siblings. The family wishes to thank the Blue Jay wing and Rosie “O’Grady” at River Bluff for all their compassion and love.
Service at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 3, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with visitation from 10 a.m. to service time. Burial in Willwood Burial Park, next to the love of her life, George, who has been waiting for her since his death in 1995. We end with Betty’s favorite bible verse, John 3:16: For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.
