Betty Campton-Jones

Betty Faye Campton-Jones, 73, of Fredericktown, MO, passed away December 24, 2020, in her home.  Born October 16, 1947, in Haleyville, AL, the daughter of Raymond L. and Beulah (Faucett) Dodd.  Married V. Dale Campton on October 15, 1977, in Rockton.  She and her husband were self-employed roofers for many years.  Betty loved gardening, her dogs, and spending time with friends and family.  Survivors include her children, Samuel (Tammy) Clark, Michael (Sandy) Clark, John (Charlotte) Clark, Peggy Benford, Leona Swisher, and V. Dale Campton, Jr.; 18 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; sisters, Diane Dodd-Winslow, Shelby, Finnegan, and Kathy Speakman; brother, Raymond Dodd, Jr.; numerous nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by her husband and daughters, Diane Campton, and Rebecca Campton.  Special thanks to Tammy Clark for her compassionate care.

Graveside service at noon Thursday, December 31, 2020, in Arlington Memorial Park, 6202 Charles Street, Rockford.  Walk through visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, December 31, 2020, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park.  Face covering and social distancing required.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
