Betty J. Bryant

Betty Jane Bryant, 82, of Rockford, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, October 21, 2026.

Born December 8, 1943, in Detroit, MI, daughter of Calvin H. and Lorean (Thompson) Corn. Betty married Kenneth H. Bryant Jr. on September 22, 1962. She was employed as a switchboard operator for Rockford Clinic and OSF St. Anthony Medical Center for many years. She enjoyed spending her time riding motorcycles, especially throughout the western part of the U.S. She was a proud lifetime member of the GWRRA, Chapter L of Rockford. Most of all, Betty cherished her time spent with family. She will be dearly missed.

Surviving relatives include her children, Ken (Candice) Bryant III, Dan (Paula) Bryant, Jennifer Bryant (Danny Williams); grandchildren, Ken (Nikki) Bryant IV, Beki Bryant, Chris (Ayden) Bryant, Amanda (Phillip) Peerboom, Michelle Bryant, Brianna Williams, Kaylee Williams and Danny Williams Jr.; great-grandchildren, Kenny Bryant V, Jacob Peerboom, Liam Bryant, Arianna and Devon’Tae Williams, Jayden and Xolani Blunt; brother, Jimmy (Millie) Corn and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Betty is predeceased by both parents and her husband.

Funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 30, 2026, with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park, IL 61111. Burial will conclude in Greenwood Cemetery.
