Barbara Mally

Barbara J. Mally, 79, of Loves Park passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, Wednesday, April 11, 2018, in her home. Born January 22, 1939, in Rockford, the daughter of George W. and Hilda (Estep) Hooper. Graduated from Christian Life College in 2008. Married Glenn Mally. Member of Gentle Shepard Fellowship Church. Barbara enjoyed watching Western movies, Young and the Restless, crocheting, puzzles and preaching God’s word. Survivors include her daughter, Cynthia (Scott) Smallwood of Loves Park; son, Gary (Petra) Mally, stationed in Afghanistan; grandchildren, Tory Mally, Terry Mally, Tracy (Robert) Sellnow, Jesse King, Eric Mally and Jenny Mally; many great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Lilly Lightheart; 6 nieces and nephews; and her favorite companion, Mr. JoJo, her loving bird. Predeceased by her husband and parents. The family wishes to thank A Grace Hospice, especially C.J. and Pastor Chuck for their loving care.

Memorial service at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 18, in Zion Lutheran Church, 925 5th Ave., Rockford. Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., Loves Park.
