Arley O. Hendrickson, 88, of Rockford passed away Monday, October 4, 2021. Born June 13, 1933, in Argyle, WI, the son of Lester and Ora (Everson) Hendrickson. He served his country as a specialist in the Signal Corps, in France, from 1954 to 1956. Married Joann M. Auestad in 1957 at Adam’s Lutheran Church, in Argyle. Employed by Ingersoll Milling Machine for 42 years, retiring in July of 1998. Lifetime member of NRA, Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame, and Pine Tree Pistol Club. Member of American Legion and Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd for 60 years, serving as an usher, counter, and the property board. Arley loved fishing and was an avid NASCAR fan. Family gatherings were very important to Arley; getting together for meals and visiting gave him great pleasure. He enjoyed the annual Argyle Fish Fry, which he attended for 78 years and was present for one of the first years of existence. Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Joann; son, Ron; two granddaughters, Jana and Leah Mueller; three brothers, Virgil (Wilma), Boyd, and Jerry (Debbie) Hendrickson; son-in-law, John (Anita) Mueller; many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by one son, Larry; daughter, Lori Mueller; and sister, Doreen Johnson. Service at 2 p.m. Thursday, October 7, 2021, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with visitation from 1 p.m. to service time. Burial in Yellowstone Lutheran Church Cemetery, Argyle, WI. Masks are required and the family requests no contact at the receiving line due to COVID-19. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in his name.
