Arlene V. Hill, 71, of Loves Park, Illinois, passed away at her home on Friday, March 28, 2025. She was born on September 30, 1953, in Princeton, West Virginia, the daughter of Ralph J. and Rosa (Thompson) Belcher. She moved to the Rockford, Illinois, area in 1955 and spent most of her life in Loves Park, where she graduated from Harlem High School, Class of 1971
.
Arlene joined her son in attending church at Gentle Shepherd Fellowship. During her golden years, Arlene was a resident of Park Towers apartment building and was very involved in the community there. She enjoyed Wii Bowling, playing Bingo, and visiting with her many friends in the building. Her hobbies included listening to music, especially The Beatles, watching Seinfeld and Saturday Night Live, and traveling to New York to visit family. She was also an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan, just like her parents

Survivors include her son, Ryan (Lindsey) Hill of New York; grandson, Ethan; mother, Rosa Belcher; sister, Shelly (Darrell) Cook; sister-in-law, Kathy Belcher; nieces, Magan (Tim) Vernon and Stacey (Jim) Schultz; and many extended family as well as friends at Park Towers. She is predeceased by her father, Ralph; and brother, Ron Belcher

A Celebration of Life will be held at Park Towers Community Room, 540 Clifford Ave., Loves Park, on Thursday, April 3, 2025, from 1 to 3 p.m. with light refreshments served from 3 to 4 p.m. Cremation rites accorded. Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park
