Anthony R. “Tony” Fair, 74, of Roscoe passed away Saturday, May 13, 2017, with his wife, Judith by his side. Born October 22, 1942, in Chicago, the son of Anthony Emerson and Ethel Mae (McFalls) Fair. Tony was raised in Rockford and attended the Rockford Catholic Schools. He graduated from the University of Maryland. Tony served as a paratrooper medic in the U.S. Army, in the 501st 82nd airborne division during Vietnam. Married Judith Ann Gerken on October 30, 1971, in Rock Falls. To this union, 3 children were born. He founded and was president of Autotech Marketing for more than 37 years. Survivors include his loving wife of 45 years, Judith; son, Scott Nicholas Fair; daughter, Melissa Ann Fair; granddaughter, Gianna; 1 brother; and 1 sister. Predeceased by his parents; 2 half-brothers; and son, Anthony Johnathan Fair. May he rest in peace.
Service at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 20, in Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church, 5506 Reimer Drive, Roscoe, with visitation from 10 a.m. to service time. Burial in Pinnacle Hill Cemetery. Visitation also from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 19, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family for a memorial to be established.
