Anna E. Ethington Cain, 85, of Machesney Park, passed away Saturday, December 31, 2016. Born May 3, 1931, in Bloomington, daughter of Joseph and Martha (Hardesty) Carter. Married Richard H. Ethington on July 17, 1950, in Bloomington. He passed away October 30, 1995. Married Elmer Cain on January 9, 1998, in Loves Park. He passed away December 8, 2012. Member of St. Bridget Catholic Church. Anna loved to be around people. She was happiest when surrounded by loved ones playing games and cards. Her children include daughters, Paula (Ed) Felchner, Mabel (Billy) Larson and Debbie (Terry) Carlson; sons, Curtis (Marilyn), David (Robin) and the late Ron (Kay) Ethington; grandchildren, Lydia (Brent) Bainter, Adam (Esther) Felchner, Christopher (Lindsay) Larson, Erin (Judah) Rodgon, Todd (Jodi) Larson, Jennifer (Paul) Haack, Kyra Ethington, Morgan (Raj) Naik, Kristi (Dan) Cornelius, Ian (Erin) Ethington, Megan (Sundeep) Malladi, Corey Amans, Andee (Collin) Orton, Lindsey (Derik) Kadrmas, Joey (Brittany) Ethington, Brittany (Kroy) Hill, Jordan Ethington, Margaret and Emily Ethington; 24 great-grandchildren; stepchildren, Sandra (Al) Melton, Rodney (Ann) Cain, Tammy (Larry) Bilbrey and their families. Predeceased by her parents; husbands; son, Ron; brothers, Leo and Charles Carter; sisters, Agnita Peasley, Mary Patricia Roberts and Ruth Schroeder. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 7, 2017, in St. Bridget Catholic Church, 600 Clifford Ave., Loves Park, with visitation from 9 a.m. to service time in the church. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
