Anita C. Horst, 105, of Loves Park, passed away Friday, March 2, 2018. Born February 4, 1913, in Medford, WI., the daughter of Richard and Anna (Hurtienne) Born. Married Palmer Gene Horst on June 30, 1935, in Rockford. Employed by Woodward Governor cafeteria for many years, retiring in 1976. Member of St. Paul Lutheran Church where she was very active. She enjoyed flowers, gardening and reading. Survivors include 3 daughters, Judith (Robert) Larson of Roscoe, Joyce (Robert) Sjostrom of Wisconsin Dells, WI, and Kathy (Chuck) McCarty of Cambridge, WI; 6 grandchildren, Jeff Larson, Becky (Steve) Stribling, Ryan (Amy) Sjostrom, Rachael (Ed) England, Stephanie (Brent) Nottestad and Allison McCarty; 10 great-grandchildren, Greg, Krista, Kendall, Nicholas, Brittani, Angela, Kylie, Cade, Cal and Aksel. Predeceased by her husband; and three siblings, Dorothy Miller, Lucille Block and Roland Born. The family wishes to thank Swedish American Cancer Center for their love and support.
Service at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 15, in St. Paul Lutheran Church, 600 North Horsman Street, Rockford, with visitation from 10 a.m. to service time. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. A memorial will be established. Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park.
