Anita L. (Crusan) Daughenbaugh, 82, of Rockford, IL, died Wednesday, August 4, 2021, after an extended illness. Born at home, March 8, 1939, in Bell Center, WI, the daughter of Harry and Lily (Dolejs) Crusan. She was the second youngest of fifteen children and was a 1957 graduate of Ithaca High School. She married Richard Daughenbaugh in 1958 and together raised three sons. An infant daughter died at birth. Anita was a member of both organizations Allied Seniors and UAW Local 492 Retirees from Sunstrand. Survivors include her children Rick Daughenbaugh of Gloucester Point, VA, Dale Daughenbaugh, Loren Daughenbaugh, and Nicole Burdick, all of Rockford; grandkids, Kristen Schmidt, Adrion Daughenbaugh, and Weaver Daughenbaugh; sister, Erma Crusan Welsh of Durand; brother, Harry Crusan of Elkhorn, WI; brother-in-law, James Shadley of Glendale, AZ; many nieces, nephews, and countless friends. Predeceased by her husband, Richard; an infant daughter; her parents; in-laws, Charlie and Elsie Daughenbaugh; five sisters, Laura Crusan, Elsie Fosnow, Mary Coppernoll, Lillian Cottrill, and Harriet Shadley; seven brothers, Donald, Lloyd “Hank”, James, Gerald, John, Lawrence, and Kenny.
Services will be at noon Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with visitation from 11 a.m. to service time. Burial will be in the Willwood Burial Park.
