Allen “Al” L. Cunitz, 63, of Rockford, IL, was called home Sunday, November 17, 2024. Born November 3, 1961, in Rockford, the son of Donald and Darlene (Pettera) Cunitz. Graduated from Harlem High School, Class of 1979. Employed by Rockford Products for several years. Member of St. Bridget Catholic Church and Harmony Singing Society. He was the favorite bingo caller. Avid Oakland Raider and Milwaukee Brewer fan. Al’s favorite hobby was model cars. He enjoyed playing Cornhole with his friends at The Cloisters and had the nickname “Sitting Bull”. Survivors include his parents, Don and Darlene Cunitz; sons, Lewis (Jamie), Brandon, and Chrisopher; grandchildren, Shaun and Nicolas; brother, Phillip (Vicki) Cunitz; nephew, Jacob Cunitz. The family wishes to thank the staff at U.W. Hospital in Madison, WI, and OSF St. Anthony Medical Center for their love and care.

Memorial Mass at 11 a.m. Friday, November 29, 2024, at St. Bridget Catholic Church, 600 Clifford Ave., Loves Park, IL, with visitation from 10 a.m. to service time. Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park.
