Alice Lindsay

Alice H. Lindsay, 97, of Bradenton, Florida, passed away Wednesday, August 21, 2019. Born April 10, 1922, in Dayton, Iowa, the daughter of Anton and Anna (Persson) Skoog. Graduated from Gowrie High School and St. Anthony School of Nursing. Married Thomas D. Lindsay on August 5, 1944, in Rockford, Illinois. Employed as a registered nurse at St. Anthony Hospital for 20 years, retiring in 1978. Former member of Zion Lutheran Church in Rockford, Illinois, and Clifford E. Johnson VFW Post 9759 in Loves Park, Illinois. Survivors include her children, Thomas K. Lindsay, Karin (Steve) Hrywko, Kerry Lindsay and Kay Cremeens, sister, Mary Knopf; 7 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents; husband; brothers, Herbert and Robert Skoog; and 1 grandson.

Memorial service at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, September 22, 2019, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park. Inurnment in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Machesney Park, Illinois.
