Alice Amro

November 25, 1955 — July 26, 2024

Alice Faye Amro, 68, of Loves Park, IL, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 26, 2024, at her home. Born November 25, 1955, in Rockford, IL, the daughter of Edwin and Dorothy (Purkeypile) Arneson. Graduated from Harlem High School, Class of 1973, and from the University of Illinois with a master’s degree in social work. Formerly employed by Rockford Memorial Hospital, other various agencies, and most recently worked for FHN in Freeport before retiring. Alice was a contributor to Gentle Farms. Avid NASCAR fan. She enjoyed reading, movies, shopping, and attending plays. Survivors include her loving fur-babies, Jasmine and Odin; son, Omar Amro and his family. Special thanks to Erica, Kelsey, Angie, Brittany, and Sister Chinweze for their loving care and compassion. Predeceased by her beloved pets, Phantom and Lucy.

Services will be private. Cremation rites accorded. Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park.
