Alan F. Spiegler

Alan F. Spiegler, 85, of Roscoe, IL, passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at Javon Bea Hospital. Born on Friday, December 13, 1940, in Portage, WI, the son of Willis John and Dorothy (Leitz) Spiegler. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy Air Force. He married Doreen Thiel Klevene on May 26, 1984, in Machesney Park, IL. He retired from Warner Electric. He traveled the world selling, fixing, and installing machines. Member of Concordia Lutheran Church where he would volunteer for many church activities. Alan enjoyed fishing, woodworking, family, and his grandchildren. Alan loved to talk, share stories, jokes, and his wisdom. Survivors include his wife, Doreen; children, Terrance (Lori) Spiegler, Susan Redwine, Jeffrey (Lori) Klevene, Tami (Rikk Lingelbach) Starry, and Evan Spiegler; stepchildren, Robbie Spiegler, Eric Spiegler, and Michael Spiegler; 8 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and sister, Delores Dunn. Predeceased by his parents.

Service at 11 a.m. Friday, February 13, 2026, at Concordia Lutheran Church, 7424 North 2nd Street, Machesney Park, IL, with visitation from 10 a.m. to service time. Burial in Pinnacle Hill Cemetery, Roscoe, IL. Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park, IL. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
