Alan M. Gucciardo, 40, of Poplar Grove, passed away Friday, November 19, 2021, in OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center. Born March 10, 1981, in Rockford, the son of Alan and Carol (Holmbeck) Gucciardo. He loved music and concerts and was a fan of the Grateful Dead. A talented musician, he played a wide range of instruments including guitars, drums and keys. Also enjoyed reading books about history and politics. Recently he spent most of his time gardening and caring for wildlife, where he made friends with the birds and small animals in his yard. Halloween was his favorite holiday and he always loved decorating for any holiday. Alan always looked forward to spending the holidays with his family, as he was close to many of his aunts, uncles and cousins. His talents and wisdom greatly impacted many people and will live on through the lives of all those he loved and loved him. Survivors include his mother, Carol (Bill) Bainbridge; sister, Stacy (Alex) Gucciardo-Halbrook; numerous cousins. Predeceased by his father. Special thanks to Kari and all of neurological intensive care nurses, staff and doctors.
