Adeline Ethel Grecula

Adeline “Addie” Ethel Grecula, 90, of Machesney Park, IL, passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at Alden Park Strathmoor. She was born on Tuesday, May 26, 1936, in Mahtomedi, MN, the daughter of Matthias and Esther (Chase) Pechan. She married Andrew A. Grecula on July 9, 1956, in Mahtomedi, MN. Member of St. Bridget Catholic Church. Adeline was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose family meant the world to her. She spent her life caring for those around her, and her kindness, generosity, and devotion will never be forgotten. Her family will forever cherish the countless memories, love, and laughter they shared with her, and though they must now learn to live without her, they will never live without the love she gave them. While her absence leaves an immeasurable space in their hearts, they find comfort in knowing that Adeline is finally at peace. Survivors include her son, Mark (Glenda) Grecula; daughters, Ann Perkins, Colleen (Greg) Gerber and Tammy (John) Whelton; son-in-law, Dan Bruno; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends, Dave and Shirley Kjednquist. Adeline is predeceased and reunited with her parents; beloved husband, Andrew; daughters, Marie Bruno, Catherine “Cathy”, Sally Jo, and Theresa Grecula; granddaughter, Susan Grecula; eight sisters; and four brothers.

Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 5, 2026, in St. Bridget Catholic Church, 600 Clifford Ave., Loves Park, IL. Burial in Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Winnebago, IL. Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park, IL. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
